How to Talk to Famous People and make your grandma laugh Tommy Leonard 9781460918357 Books
In between nonsensical statements and silly stories are delicious nuggets of wisdom bathed in witty humor and spiced by straight-up questions left for you to answer. I'm over half done and only purchased it this morning. It's a few bucks, an easy read, and on a couple occasions it left me in tears ... from laughing so hard. I can't imagine why someone wouldn't get a kick out of this book and I heartily recommend it to everyone. Also ... the style reminds me of Jack Handey's "Deep Thoughts" which is a compliment in my opinion.

How to Talk to Famous People and make your grandma laugh Tommy Leonard 9781460918357 Books Reviews
This was so disappointing, I wonder whether the other reviews were genuine customer ratings. This was not at all what it sounded like, but instead, seemed like someone's mediocre stand-up act in book form.
Very boring walk through random life 'lessons' and advice (like, adventure, yeah go for it). Not quirky, funny or insightful.
Really annoyed I paid $2 for this!
I feel bad writing this to the author but I found this book was just a waste of my time. I looked at the review and bought it, but I had no idea that it was this bad. I was expecting that I will at least be able to laugh whilst reading this book, but instead I just wanted to throw it away, which I am going to do. I even showed to my husband and he didn't get it as well. I definitely will not recommend this book.
The book was funny and entertaining to read. There were even a couple of times that I actually laughed out loud. You are missing out if you don't buy it.
Although this book was not at all what I expected when I first picked it up I am very glad I did. This book is a collection of observations, thoughts, stories and life lessons lessons from the author that really made me think about things a little bit differently while putting a smile on my face.
Fuuny
This is one of the most refreshing books I've read in years. I have read funny books that tend to end up being a series of forgetful anecdotes or too lengthy to chase til the end (e.g. David Sedaris), and I guess that's all I expected of books of that sort. But 'How to Talk to Famous People' doesn't end with it being extremely humorous, but it motivates you to actually get off your couch and do something with life, and it even gives you some surprisingly helpful tips. That's pretty impressive.
The jokes are subtle, which is what I love about the book. And the visuals are unique (all from author's personal photography and photoshopping). It's very readable for all ages and levels of reading. Great gift choice. Highly recommended!
